S p a c e - oh the luxury.
I'd been wanting to add a piece to this bricky orangey one so I weaved in the dark green piece and it just made the whole thing land in a good place. so I made a little stop frame animation of it coming together to use in my oral presentation.
The dark green added so much to this piece that I thought I'd try it on the big blue one as well.
Still not sure about this addition. Will see what it does when I install for September seminar. Can always lose it.
And while I had the large space to work in I wanted to make a new piece.
That little kick in the bottom right corner is working well. I wanted the pink to feel a bit off and make this one different from the other two. I think it's a bit dark though, so will re-paint before seminar. That pink piece also cracked when I was taking it down. It's heavy and awkward to deal with, so I'm going to have to cut the crack out so it doesn't keep splitting down the grain of the wood and snapping completely off.
I also wanted to try connecting these works together to see if I could potentially make one huge work.

It's pretty chaotic. I think if I was going to do this I'd start out with this intention, rather than trying to make it from existing stand-alone works. But as an exercise, it showed me that this scale is do-able, but I'd have to make it at Demo, not in my wee garage.
Thanks Demo, that was a very productive week.
